Fresh Pasta on a Budget - OO Pasta
UPDATE: OO Pasta is temporarily closed as they are rebranding.
Fresh pasta has been somewhat of a luxury in Bangkok, but the last couple of years more and more fresh pasta restaurants have opened up with Nam Nam pasta being one of the most famous. My latest discovery, not a new restaurant, but ohhhh so delicious is OO Pasta on Samsen Road.
The converted shophouse in the old Phra Nakhon area has a nice “Korean” aesthetic with vintage wooden furniture and green tiled walls. The small restaurant seats around 20 guests, with 5 seats along the bar overlooking the chefs preparing fresh pasta dishes.
As you can see from the quality of the images… (Sorry for some phone camera pics below) We actually went to OO Pasta on two separate occasions. Both time the food was great!
Dishes range from 170-270 Baht which is way lower than the average fresh pasta places in Bangkok. A meal for two with 3 dishes plus drinks was around 800 Baht.
There’s not much parking in the area, so it would definitely be recommended to either come by taxi or motorbike. OO Pasta is not far from Khao San road so if you’re in the area give it a go!
