How to Eat Zaru Soba - Must Try Dish at Hachiban Ramen

This is the one dish at Hachiban Ramen that you’ll have to try! Zaru Soba, cold ramen noodles dipped in zaru sauce for only 103 Baht. Simple, tasty and so addictive.

HOW TO EAT ZARU SOBA:

  1. Mix the chopped chives, ground radish and wasabi into the sauce.

  2. Make sure to go light on the wasabi to start with..

  3. Mix well to avoid any clumps of wasabi.

  4. Dip the cold noodles into the sauce for 5 seconds

  5. … and slurp ‘em up!

Zaru Soba at Hachiban Ramen

My first time trying Zaru Soba was an experience in itself, never had I thought cold noodles dipped into wasabi would be so delicious, but it sure works. The Hachian Zaru Soba will probably not be the best or most traditional zaru soba you’ve ever had, is this even soba (??), but it’s a must try.

I would recommend to order one or two apetizers to add some protein to your meal. We had the Menchi Katsu 90 Baht and a set of 12 Gyoza 164 Baht.

Hachiban Ramen or No 8 Ramen originated in Japan 1967, and has been apart of the Thai shopping mall restaurants for over 30 years, there’s over 150 branches nationwide. Safe to say, you can find a Hachiban in almost all areas of Bangkok.

This is by far not the best restaurant for Ramen, but Hachiban is still a favorite of mine. The bowls are cheap and comforting, and of course the zaru soba is a staple.
